Paintball Safety Tips
Like in any game, there are risks for injuries. The game of paintball is no exception.
Below are some safety tips that you can use in your next game of paintball:
Wear your paintball masks at all times during a game, even in the dead zone. Do not take your mask off until the game is over. Many injuries occur when players do not follow this rule
Ensure that paintball velocities at kept at 280 (or below) feet per second (FPS). Specialty Paintball shops have the necessary equipment to test this.
Never fire your guns without looking where you are firing (blind firing), doing so is dangerous as you may hit and injure spectators, referees and other players leaving the field.
Barrel plugs should be used when you are not using your gun, in addition to safeties in on position. Do not remove your barrel plugs unless everybody around you is wearing a mask.
Never play paintball under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or prescription medicine. You will be a danger to others and yourself.
Use common sense to avoid unnecessary problems. Don’t shoot private property. Don’t shoot out of a moving vehicle. Don’t look down the barrel of a loaded gun. Don’t shoot yourself, etc.
